HOPE Piece Out – a farewell party

HOPE OUTDOOR GALLERY, AUSTIN TEXAS

This was the last major event to be held by the HOPE Outdoor Gallery, where it stands now. A new gallery will be coming to the Austin area soon.

I had aspirations of being able to photograph every mural complete, but that dream was quickly dashed as my life schedule didn’t jive with the art schedule. Instead, I took what I could get while trying to dodge onlookers, photobombers (looking at you @pickensphoto) and the general mayhem of trying to stitch pictures together with lots of moving bodies.

I have a few aberrations that I just couldn’t magic away and I am fine with that. The end product is a good representation of the volume of people the artist had to deal with and quite a few finished pieces. To all the artist, you have my respect.

If the views stack up, I will go back and tag as many artist as I can with @instagram tags, so hit that share button.
